“We’ve got to work together. Because I’ll tell you what, if you do start helping people, you’ll feel a lot happier.”

– Laura-Faye

Showing Up With Authenticity With Adaeze Chiwoko

Next, we caught up with Adaeze Chiwoko, a marriage and relationship coach. Adaeze shared the reasons why she got into marriage coaching in the first place, and how she’s found success on social media in recent years.

“Business can be lonely. Business can be very male-orientated… So I think that having women supporting each other, is women saying it’s okay to do it our way.”

– Adaeze Chiwoko

Recognising and Recovering From Burnout With Alice Belton

Next up was Alice Belton, founder of Olinda Community Gardens and Amplifi. Alice opened up about her journey of finding balance and voicing her needs. She also shared some insights into what burnout feels like and how to recover.

“I know now that if I’m feeling a little bit stressed, to focus on my breath. It grounds me. It’s almost like I’ve done it so much, I know how to slip in and out of it.”

– Alice Belton

Finding Work Life Harmony With Nina Elegba

In episode four, we welcomed Nina Elegba – founder of creative events studio, Recess Living. Nina opened up about her career in the television industry and how it inspired Recess Living. She also shared her advice on practicing seasonal self-care.

“Self-care to me means listening to your body and giving it what it needs. It’s about protecting and nurturing your mind, seeking out peace and joy, and putting your own needs first for a change!”

– Nina Elegba

Building Resilience With Rebecca Hartley

Next was Rebecca Hartley – founder of Saving Grace Events. Rebecca shared how she maintains a resilient mindset whilst overcoming personal struggles with cancer and loss. She also opened up about her recent ADHD diagnosis and how it has served her in her career.

“What I found really useful is getting up early, so I have time to have a nice coffee and read something that’s inspiring. I’m quite a spiritual person, so I do my gratitude book and just have a reset in the morning… get my head in the right place, maybe journal a little bit, and then get into work before anybody else so that I’ve got an hour just to get my own thoughts straight so I’m not running into each day in chaos.”

– Rebecca Hartley

Creating a Value-Driven Business With Alice Benham

In episode six, we chatted with author and business strategist, Alice Benham. Alice shared her journey from starting a business at age 14 and quitting school at 16 to becoming a business strategist and writing her own book! She also opened up about how her values shape her business and how she prioritises ‘fun’ in day-to-day life.

“I think the biggest thing that helps me, is realising that I often end the day feeling really tired mentally, but not physically. And I’ve noticed that I need to make time to be tired physically. So I now have a habit, every day I do exercise, and that’s not really for any reason other than just I’ve realised I need that time each day.”

– Alice Benham

Managing Your Finances With Denosh Bennett

Next up was professional singer, dancer, and mentor – Denosh Bennett. Denosh shed light on the unique mental health challenges she faced while working in the entertainment industry. She also shared some practical advice for finding financial stability as a freelancer.

“I used to be very much into pampering. Now I don’t look at it that way. I’m like, this is survival.”

– Denosh Bennett

Natural Therapies to Support Your Wellbeing With Alicja Golicz

In the final episode, we spoke with registered nurse and natural therapist, Alicja Golicz. Alicja opened up about making the UK her home and how her childhood experiences with nature influenced her interest in natural remedies and health promotion. She also shared some practical information on bioresonance therapy and red light therapy.

“For me, anywhere you make a home, it’s your home. Whenever you’ve got that good energy flowing, and good people around you, it’s fine. No matter if it’s iPoland, England, Spain or wherever else.”

– Alicja Golicz
