In my next episode of Eavesdrop, I’m in conversation with registered nurse and natural therapist, Alicja Golicz, who happens to be from Poland! I worked with Alicja firsthand a few months ago when I was feeling very under the weather, and so I’m excited for you all to meet her and learn more about her work.
In this interview, we discuss:
- Alicja’s journey as a nurse and natural therapist
- Bioresonance and red light therapy
- Addressing sceptics of natural therapies
Here’s a brief recap of our conversation. To hear the full conversation, give my podcast a follow on Podbean, Spotify, iTunes, or wherever you get your podcasts!
An Interview With Alicja Golicz
When did you move to the UK and how does it compare to living in Poland?
“In 2010 – in March. For me, anywhere you make a home, it’s your home. So you make a home, wherever you’ve got your family, you live with your loved ones, it’s your home. Whenever you’ve got that good energy flowing, and good people around you, it’s fine. No matter if it’s Poland, England, Spain or wherever else.”
Oh, that’s lovely. It sounds like you’ve got a nice family with you! So you’re a natural therapist… Tell me how you got started on that journey in particular.
“Well, to be honest, natural therapies and home remedies – they were always with me. It just wasn’t said as a ‘business’. I would not even call it ‘business’ because what I am doing is my hobby, my passion.”
“So a long, long time ago, being a kid, knowing my Nana… when we were having walks, she would show me little plants and what they could be used for. And she would make many syrups, juices, tinctures, etc. And so this is a little start, because as part of my natural therapies, I am a herbalist as well.”
“And I always, as a nurse working in a hospital, promoted health within my patients – despite conventional therapies we were offering at the hospital. I was also talking about home remedies within my patients – whatever they can do – not only from chemicals, tablets, and syrups purchased from a counter, but they can make something natural as well.”
“However, what I am doing now is mainly health promotion. I do love promoting health. And during the Covid-19 pandemic, I pushed myself to start working for myself.”
Wow – so you took that leap and you decided to take this knowledge to people outside of the hospital and begin to help people, like you helped me.
“Yeah, that’s why! Whatever I can offer, whatever I can help with personally, or direct people to other therapists – because I have many contacts since I became a therapist officially. It’s a good community of quality professionals.”
So what did you do? How did you train or what certificates do you have to call yourself a ‘natural therapist’? How does that actually work?
“Okay, so I’ve been a nurse for over 30 years, so I’ve got that basic knowledge, that baseline. And then my therapy started with vitamin infusion injections – which I did for many years working in a hospital.”
“But obviously, to do it privately, I needed to complete courses for vitamin infusions and vitamin injections, which I did with a consultant doctor in Manchester. That was my first training. Then, herbalism, that was a course online, because it was during the pandemic and no face-to-face training was available. I completed the other ones – aromatherapy, cupping as well – however, you know cupping, believe it or not, when I did my five years of medical school to become a nurse, cupping was part of it. So we did some natural therapies, like what I’m doing now, back in the 1990s as my ordinary learning in medical school. And then I did a leech therapy course two years ago here in England.”
“Whatever I do, I just complete a course. Without the course, I do not offer any therapy – because I don’t feel it’s professional. I need to feel confident and professional. When you complete your course, you go to an exam. So you are checked over to see if you’re able to do it and offer it to your clients.”
So talk to us a little bit about bioresonance therapy, what is it and how does that help?
“So bioresonance – what is bioresonance? So as a health promoter, I am speaking loudly, and a lot, about grounding. Grounding, this is an exchange of frequency, exchange energy, that good energy. We are all energy. We are vibrating, having frequency. Everything has got a frequency.”
“Based on that, I think officially it was the 1920s, Tesla was inventing something to measure frequency between ourselves and a device. So, then they went further to measure the frequency of each cell, each tissue, each organ, system, etc. And then differences between healthy tissue and cells, and ill tissue and cells. Then they went into pathogens, what frequency they are emitting, etc.”
“So bioresonance is the device that is reading your frequency around your body. So we can read almost everything in your body, whatever is wrong.”
“There are many devices on the market. It doesn’t hurt. You have electrodes clipped to your wrists, to your ankles, and a little helmet on your head as well. You can also find bioresonance devices with headphones to measure frequency.”
“So in addition to scanning your body to check vitamin deficiency and mineral deficiency, they also discovered that specific frequencies can also be helpful to support therapy. So after each test, the program creates a special auto complex or program designed for a specific person in relation to a problem within the body. I am using it for myself, and initially I was very surprised, because when I set the program for a pain, within an hour (without any tablets) the pain was gone.”
So talk to me about red light therapy, because I’ve heard a little bit about this, what is it supposed to do?
“So, chromotherapy – light therapy – it’s about colours. Colours are therapeutic as well. No matter light, but the colours themselves, they are therapeutic. All colours.”
“So all colours have specific properties. So with light, we can add colour. And with light frequency, depending on how strong the light is, we can go that deep into your body. So, for instance, I’ve got a red light, a therapeutic red light, which physiotherapy can use as well. So I have three frequencies. You can use, for instance, on your skin, just for beauty. Just to work as a rejuvenating therapy. Then, the next level is a bit deeper. So if you’ve got any problem within your skin, for instance, inflammation, like deeper inflammation, you can work on that. And the intralight is the deepest. It goes very deep into your body, to your muscles, to your bones.”
What would you say to anyone who is sceptical about your work as a natural therapist?
“That’s okay. That’s absolutely fine. I am not here to convince anyone, you know, that natural therapies are good. Someone needs to be ready – I am busy every day because people are seeking help elsewhere, because they can’t get it from the NHS. So for me, it’s heartbreaking to see people so desperate. Because they are waiting months and months and even years sometimes for a test or an appointment, and they are fed up. Some people see good results, something that actually works. And sometimes even the sceptical people come just to check it out.”
Where can people get in touch with you if they want to find out more or if they want to book a bioresonance session?
“My website is www.well-im.co.uk – there you’ll find details on how you can call and arrange an appointment. You can also find me on Facebook and LinkedIn!”
